Veneto: Zaia, "Me, mayor of Venice? A distant game. I'd like it to be a city-state alongside Milan."

"I'm focused on my work in the Region, which is a lot. Venice will vote in May, a distant game." Luca Zaia told the 'Corriere della Sera' about his possible candidacy for mayor of Venice.

"Venice a city-state. And Milan too," because "it would be something the whole world would talk about," is Zaia's proposal. It would be "a sign of sensitivity and care for the city and a global communication coup for Giorgia Meloni as well."

The president of the Veneto Region emphasized: "Autonomy is and remains a cornerstone of the program; there can be no compromise on this point. And it doesn't envisage constitutional reforms."
